5 Important Updates We Made to Our Platform in Fall 2021

Over the past few months, we’ve made some exciting updates to the Trolley platform that we think will make your payouts/disbursements process run smoother than ever:

To get started now, login to the Trolley platform. If you’re looking for more details, keep reading or reach out to our support team for a demo of any features you think will add value to your payout workflow.

Localize recipient experiences to 36 languages

With recipients from all over the world, we know that a localized experience is a smooth experience. That’s why we translated the recipient profile and the “white label” emails we send on your behalf into 36 different languages, allowing recipients to get the information they need, in the language of their choice.

Recipients can now set their language preferences directly in Trolley’s white-labeled widget. Settings are preserved for future sessions and email communications.

The recipient manages their own language settings directly in the Widget or the Portal. Once selected, their preference is saved for all future emails and sessions.

Language preference can be set on the Dashboard or the API.

Users can also manually set the language preferences for recipients in the Trolley dashboard.

Auto-approve tax forms (without losing control)

You can now onboard new recipients with both speed and control by auto-approving tax forms that don’t contain any validation warnings.

Maintain efficiency and compliance without the need to manually manage every tax form by selecting the “automatically approve forms if no warnings” setting (Settings > Tax Compliance).

Selecting “automatically approve forms if no warnings” means that recipients with properly filled forms can be paid immediately, while still letting your team catch issues that pop up. It’s your new option to maintaining compliance without the need to manually manage every tax form.

You can find the “automatically approve forms if no warnings” option within Settings > Tax Compliance.

Automate compliance requests through the app

Handling compliance requests takes a fair amount of back and forth with your recipients—quite often a manual, email-based process.

The new Tickets feature (currently in Beta—to request beta access to this feature please email us) aims to solve this and reduce the time invested in these tasks—while enhancing recipient data security by housing the whole process within our secure platform.

Now, when a compliance request is received, Tickets triggers a white-labeled email to be sent directly to the payment recipient.

When a compliance request is received, Trolley’s Tickets feature will automatically email the recipient on your behalf to inform them of the issue and to seek a resolution directly.

The recipient can reply directly to the request through the portal/widget.

The recipient can manage and resolve the compliance issue directly in the white-labeled recipient Portal/Widget.

If you as a merchant/user want to maintain visibility over these types of issues, you can review all outstanding and completed tickets directly in your Trolley dashboard from the “Tickets” tab.

Merchants/Users can see and track all open/resolved tickets in the Tickets tab of the Trolley dashboard.
Merchants/Users can see details of each ticket and respond to Trolley support from the Tickets tab of the Trolley dashboard.

Enforce team-wide Two Factor Authentication

As an Admin or Owner, you can now keep your Trolley environment even more secure by requiring all users to use two-factor authentication (TFA)—an option now available in Settings > Security.

Add a layer of security to your Trolley account by enabling Two-Factor Authentication (TFA) in the Trolley dashboard (Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication Enforcement).

Once enabled, the next time a user without TFA logs in, they will be prompted to enable TFA before they can access the Dashboard.

Enabling this option can help prevent phishing attacks and credential re-use issues, further tightening the security around your Trolley account.

Keep everyone informed with Recipient Notifications

Not all recipients are exclusive to one account/owner within an organization and multiple stakeholders often need to be informed of updates related to payouts. Until recently, recipients were limited to having a single email address associated with their account.

Keep multiple stakeholders up to date about payouts related to particular recipients by adding their emails to the Copy Recipient Emails to dialogue in the Trolley dashboard (Recipients > Individuals).

Not anymore. Now, multiple emails can be linked to a recipient, with each email receiving a copy of notifications sent to the recipients. Recipient Notification settings are available in the Merchant Dashboard when viewing a recipient and the API.
