Trolley Wins Canada’s Largest FinTech Pitch Contest 2016

Payment Rails (Trolley since Dec 2021) was named the winner of the “7 minutes to win!” pitch contest at Finance Montreal’s 2016 Canada FinTech Forum, the largest FinTech conference in Canada.

The award recognizes Fintech startups and emerging Fintech businesses that bring solutions to challenges. Each startup was given 7 minutes to present their business and the new technology solutions they’re offering. After the pitches, the audience and judges from the Fintech community including venture capitalists and banking executives voted for the Fintech startup of their choice.

Trolley was praised by the audience and the judges for its approach to global payments concentrating on simplicity and innovation.

Upon accepting the award, Trolley CEO, Tim Nixon said:

“Today is a great achievement by the Trolley team. We are driven by the need to simplify the experience for global payments and our mission to level the playing field for all business sizes.”

The annual event was hosted by Finance Montreal and attracted over 1,200 attendees.
