Enable Two-Factor Authentication: It’s a Dangerous World Out There

Going the extra mile: an extra layer of protection.

Last year, 2 out of 5 consumers experienced security incidents, meaning they had an account hacked, password stolen, of were notified that their personal information had been compromised (TeleSign, 2015). And to make the matter worse, 47% of consumers used a password that was at least 5 years old.

Time to listen up! If 2 out of every 5 consumers are experiencing security incidents, it’s time to do something different, and abandoning the “0123456789” password isn’t enough.

Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of protection that requires:

  1. Your user name and password and;
  2. Something that you and only you have on yourself. (I.e. A piece of information only you should know or have immediately on hand – such as a physical token.)
